Reddit officially joins the NFT market

Reddit is an American social news aggregator, web content rating and discussion site. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text articles, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members.

Reddit recruits NFT development engineer positions

Reddit joined the list of big brands jumping into the market NFT. The world's largest forum intends to build a platform NFT to buy and sell collectibles cryptocurrency.

In post recruiting senior engineer positions, Reddit notes “a new and exciting, fast-growing team that aims to build the largest creator economy on the internet, powered by independent creators, digital goods and NFT. We are looking for strong engineers and leaders to help us incubate the team, set strategy and build for the future.”

Reddit also says it's looking for someone who can "design, build, and deliver backend services for millions of users to create, buy, sell, and consume NFT-powered digital goods."

The initiative comes amid a surge in NFT's popularity that has spurred a flurry of companies to enter the market. In early October, two exchanges Coinbase and FTX.US has said that it is building its own NFT marketplace.

Reddit has 430 million monthly visitors from around the world. The forum has become a place to "play" for the community crypto and stocks for years, with the platform's Subreddits assembling a massive army that could knock Wall Street down.
